As we mark ManukaRx’s 7th anniversary, we take pride in celebrating not only our journey but also our unwavering commitment to empowering skin confidence and restoring our planet. Our story began with a vision to deliver natural, effective skincare solutions, and we’ve evolved into a brand known for its dedication to sustainability and community.
Our founders’ initial research into mānuka honey led them to over 1,000 studies on mānuka oil, revealing its extraordinary skin-restorative qualities. Astonished by the high levels of a remarkable compound within mānuka oil from New Zealand's East Cape, they recognised its immense potential and set out to create a skincare line that harnessed its natural healing power.
Our first product, the Skin Rescue Ointment, marked the beginning of our journey. Since then, ManukaRx has expanded to offer nearly 25 products, each showcasing the diverse benefits of mānuka oil. Inspired by New Zealand's rich natural landscape, we remain dedicated to demonstrating how nature's gifts can deliver unparalleled skincare solutions.
2017: Founded with a mission to harness the restorative power of mānuka oil for skincare.
2018: Launched the first line of mānuka oil-infused skincare products, receiving positive market feedback and building a loyal customer base.
2019: Expanded product range to include specialised skincare solutions targeting various skin concerns, enhancing the brand’s reputation for efficacy and innovation.
2020: Entered international markets, significantly increasing brand reach and establishing a global presence.
2021 - 2022: Introduced a variety of new products, including the Skin Brightening Skincare range, enriched with Kakadu plum extract and East Cape mānuka oil. This range specifically targeted hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone, expanding the brand's solutions for diverse skin needs.
2023: Achieved BCorp™ certification, underscoring commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship. Supported local iwi by creating jobs in the East Cape and planting five million trees.
2024: Introduced the Firming Collection, focusing on anti-aging benefits. Continued innovation with products featuring Kakadu plum extract and East Cape mānuka oil to address hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. As well as our ongoing commitment to sustainable production, including gaining Biogro/Nature certification for producing high-quality organic oil and minimising waste through eco-friendly practices.
Over the years, we have expanded our product range from initial mānuka oil-infused basics to specialised treatments, addressing various skincare needs with innovative solutions. Our full range now includes the Everyday, Brightening, Collagen Restore, Acne-prone, and our new Firming collection. We strive to push the boundaries of skincare, developing cutting-edge products that cater to changing needs and empower our customers to achieve their best skin.
ManukaRx has earned numerous prestigious awards over the years, highlighting its commitment to exceptional skincare. Among the standout recognitions, Vitamin C Range’s Daily Glow Brightening Cream and Skin Brightening Vitamin C Serum were honoured by Verve Magazine’s ‘Best In Face Creams and Serums’. In 2023, our Rejuvenating Manuka Oil Exfoliant garnered three accolades: it was a Pure Beauty Global Awards Finalist, received the NZSCC Best Sustainable Design Award, and won the Clean+Conscious Best Exfoliator Bronze Award. Additionally, the Restorative Skin Oil has been celebrated as the best in face oils for three consecutive years, and our recently released Firming Serum also received the NZSCC Best Innovation Silver Award 2024.
